RALTEC has begun testing on the Laser Interceptor firmware 8.17 which is the first firmware from LI to address the Dragon guns. While testing has been somewhat successful this release is not ready for public consumption. Ivan at LI is working to address the issues found by RALETC and we hope to have an updated release soon.
Since the original test we have also tested the latest firmware from LI 8.18. (As of 10/2/2014). We have been unsuccessful in jamming the DragonEye guns consistently. As you can see from the videos we have some success, but then immediately afterward we experience IPT or high PT distances. There are a lot of LI users asking is they should upgrade and the answer is absolutely yes. It is always better to have some protection than nothing at all. If you live in an area where DragonEye guns are frequently this laser jammer is not for. RALETC recommends the AL Priority as the jammer of choice and our 2014 RALETC Laser Jammer Shootout Champion. Hopefully LI will be able to work these issues out and give ALP some competition at our 2015 events. We look forward to seeing better results from Laser Interceptor in the future.
