What is the best laser Jammer?
RALETC ranks the best laser jammers through our yearly shootout and as new jammers become available. Each laser jammer is individually tested against a variety of guns based on the IACP conforming lidar product list. We grade each jammer based on sensitivity, effective jamming, ease of installation, stealth capabilities, and updates to address new lidar guns.

AntiLaser Priority
The AntiLaser Priority continues to be the top dog in the laser jammer arena. ALP is the only system that defeats all known guns available today and was the first to defeat the DragonEye Technology guns. ALP continues to impress with frequent updates, effective performance even in poor installation scenarios, and to date unmatched sensitivity. The only area ALP lacks is in stealth capability. While their heads are some of the smallest, they still look like traditional jammer heads and are easily spotted on vehicles.
Blinder HP-905
With a well established track record, the Blinder HP–905 follows as the second place laser jammer. It’s lack of ability to jam DragonEye guns and a lack of timely updates keeps it from the top spot. In addition sensitivity needs to be improved in order to compete with ALP for the top laser jammer position.
Laser Interceptor / Escort Laser Shifter Pro
Following Blinder and falling into third place is Laser Interceptor (now only available through Escort as the Laser Shifter Pro). The laser Interceptor (and LSP) both suffer from lack of updates. Neither system can jam DragonEye guns and both lack some versions of easier VPR style guns. Both systems also have the largest heads on the market and are most recognizable by law enforcement. Both systems need a major update both to hardware and software in order to be competitive in the laser jammer shootouts.
Stinger VIP
The Stinger VIP should be at least the second place laser jammer, but due to their poor performance with their public firmware, they have fallen into 4th place. The Stinger VIP is a very expensive unit which has exceptional stealth capabilities, but has yet to show consistency in updates and currently have issues jamming most guns under 500ft. RALETC grades effective jamming capability as any laser jammer than can prevent a speed reading down to 100ft or less. The Stinger VIP also has a very complicated installation, but is much easier to get through the firewall than most other laser jammers. That being said they have all the promise of competing and possibly overtaking ALP if they can show consistency and effective jamming performance. I can’t stress the importance of updates and ensuring the laser jammer community is protected against all threats. This should be every laser jammer companies top priority.
K40 Defuser Optix
The K40 Defuser Optix is a new entry into the laser jammer arena, and shows promise in jamming the easy laser guns. However, it does not even attempt to tackle the current DragonEye Technology guns. Due to it’s new entry it is being ranked in last place primarily because we need to see if they will update for new gun technology. Otherwise, the K40 is on par with the Blinder HP-905. As new guns become available or if K40 attempts to tackle the DragonEye guns, then we could see the K40 move up the list.
Conclusion:
If you do not require DragonEye support, there are 3 very affordable laser jammers on the market that will tackle nearly every other gun out there. The Stinger VIP is far too expensive to not have full jam to gun support for all guns available, but hopefully this will improve in time. The AL Priority is the top performing laser jammer on the market and officially is RALETC’s best last jammer for a 3rd year in a row. Congratulations to ALP!
Please stay tuned as we conduct yearly shootouts with the latest jammers and will continue to review all laser jammers that are sold on the market, including the newest players to the game.
